After practicing yoga for more than a decade, Aimee completed her 200RYT Vinyasa certification in 2014 and has been teaching ever since. Her style of classes vary in that she teaches flow, hatha, yin, and meditation. She finished her 300hr advanced teacher training focusing on yoga as therapy though Yoga Deza, led by Alexandria Pulfer, to her 500RYT status. You can expect serious focus on alignment to keep the body safe when practicing with Aimee. Classes will include both strength building and stretching as well as breath work and meditation. Aimee is also a music educator and has been teaching students of all ages music for the past 12 years. When not leading a class, Aimee enjoys getting outside for hikes, making music with friends, crafting, and hanging out with her sweet dog, Luna.
Here's Teri's story: As a little girl, I had a poster of the Sun Salutations in my room, and I worked hard trying to duplicate the poses. Yoga was magic to me then. Itís magic to me now, and much more meaningful. After the loss of my husband in 2014, my yoga mat became my safety, my outlet, my self love, my journey back to a life created with more love and joy than I ever could have imagined. I knew this was my path! I received my RTY 200 at Yoga Deza, and I am just finishing my RTY 500 also from Yoga Deza. Following my passion for offering hope and healing, especially to people with trauma and PTSD, Iíve begun the training to become certified in trauma sensitive yoga. Spending time outside in nature, running, hiking, and more grounds me and fuels my wild side!! I have 2 out-of-this-world daughters, who I love to watch grow. I am also an Elementary Art Teacher in Rogers AR. My wish for you is that, you leave my class feeling safe, loved, and inspired! I teach a vinysas flow, with a focus on breath work, meditation, and strength building. Everyone is welcome in my class. From beginners to experienced. Yoga is a deeply beautiful, and personal, journey, and I would be honored to be part of your journey!
