The many benefits of Tai Chi Chuan have been reported in health magazines as well as TV specials.  Our Tai Chi teacher hears every week how his students have improved their balance, reduced dependency on pain medications, even lowered their blood pressure so they can reduce or eliminate medication they have been taking for years --  often within a only few months of beginning a regular Tai Chi practice.  Join David and his students  Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 - 7PM and Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:30PM and enjoy your own health benefits. This class is appropriate for beginners.

Yoga is more than just a physical exercise.  Come to any of our Yoga classes and feel the difference. Both classes taught by Pamela.

Join us from 5:45 - 6:45 PM on Mondays for an Basic Hatha Yoga Class.  Be prepared to sweat, even though it will not be a hot room. There might be some flowing with the breath, some extended holds to increase strength and loosen tight muscles and joints, occasionally some inversions and balancing poses. All the good things we practice Yoga for. NOTE: If you have no experience with Yoga, the Tuesday class is the better one to start with.

And Tuesdays 6-7pm you can learn pose details and correct breathing while practicing Yin Yoga, Flowing Yoga, or Yoga Therapy in the new Community Donation Hatha Yoga class taught by Aimee Lynn a 500hr Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa  and certified Yoga Therapy instructor. Great for beginners and experienced students.

Wednesdays 5:45 - 6:45 is Core Strengthening which can include some Pilates, large ball, hula hoops, Yoga Core -- always stretching and relaxation.

Thursday 6-7pm Power Yoga is a great class to strengthen all your muscles, increase flexibility, increase breath capacity, relieve stress and try some new more challenging poses when you are ready. You'll love Aimee Lynn's style of teaching.

Our Saturday 10:00AM to 11:00AM class is now Yin Yoga. What is Yin Yoga? It is a balancing practice for your flow/core/hatha style of yoga, or for anyone experience tight joints and muscles. Yin Yoga works deeply, targeting the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not targeted as much in a more active style of Yoga practice, primarily the hips, pelvis and lower spine, but focus on shoulders, neck and upper back is also practiced.  Poses (primarily stretching poses) are held for longer 3 minutes minimum, and blankets, bolsters and blocks are commonly used to support you in your practice. Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels of experience. Many students have experience relief from hip or back pain from just one class. See below for more information about the Saturday 11:30 - 12:30 Kundalini Yoga class.

Two classes Sundays -- Yoga Flow 3-4pm and Yin Yoga 4:30 - 5:30pm taught by Teri Devlin a 500hr Yoga Alliance certified Yoga instructor soon to certified in trauma sensitive Yoga. Yoga flow is a great cardiovascular practice, and increases strength and stamina; Yin Yoga works deeply, targeting the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not targeted as much in a more active style of Yoga practice.
